LAW OFFICE OF GARY M. LANDAU Supports Palm Beach County Sierra Club Program

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida – Longtime real estate and probate attorney Gary M. Landau, founder of the Law Office of Gary M. Landau, is pleased to support a local Sierra Club program, Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO). Led exclusively by volunteers, the nonprofit organization exposes South Florida’s under-resourced youth to the wonders of nature by taking them on safe and fun outdoor adventures.

Over the years, the Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors program has taken youths kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, swamp tromping, overnight camping, and more. They do these activities in various Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management lands as well as in county parks, state parks (including Myakka River State Park and Jonathan Dickinson State Park), and the federal Everglades National Park.

The ICO program relies solely on volunteers to arrange and lead its outings. As a nonprofit group, they must raise all funds to support the outings, largely through donations like that made by the Law Office of Gary M. Landau. Families of the youth are never asked to pay any money for the outings, with ICO picking up the costs of all fees, equipment, and food provided.

“It’s gratifying to support such a worthy organization,” Landau says. “Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors makes a significant, positive impact on children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to enjoy South Florida’s wonderful outdoors and experience the benefits we all get from being in nature.”

Landau encourages fellow South Floridians to consider giving back by becoming a volunteer with ICO or by making a donation to the organization.

About Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors

Palm Beach County Inspiring Connections Outdoors is a program of the Sierra Club dedicated to exposing under-resourced South Florida youth to the wonders of nature. The group involves youth ages 8 to 18 from different parts of Palm Beach County. It is led completely by trained volunteer leaders as well as other support volunteers who dedicate a small amount of time to take children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience safe and fun outdoor outings.

During these outings the youth relax and de-stress in the natural world. They learn skills like kayaking or orienteering (how to use a compass in the wild) and come to have a better appreciation for Florida’s flora and fauna. Of course, they also have fun and make friends during these events.
